We want someone in Berlin, Toronto or Tokyo to know what an ajrak is, how it is made, and exactly where to get a real one.

Our promises
What you can hold us to
- We label every commission link. And every link that earns us nothing.
- We never list replicas. If a design is copied, we say so and do not link to it.
- Commissions never decide what we feature. We list things because they belong here.
- We name and credit people. Makers, photographers and sources, wherever we know them.
- We correct mistakes in public. If we get something wrong, we fix the page and say what changed.
- We never sell your data. We collect as little as we can. Read the privacy policy.
Why it matters
Crafts survive when people buy them
Many of the crafts on this site are made by families who have done the same work for generations. When cheap copies take their customers, the skills fade. When buyers who care can find them, the crafts continue.
A good story is how that starts. A buyer who knows why an ajrak is printed on both sides will not settle for a screen print, and a maker who is named gets the credit, and the next order.
