Why we started
So much is made here that the world never sees
Pakistan makes extraordinary things. Hand-printed ajrak from Sindh, embroidery from Balochistan so dense the cloth disappears, footballs stitched in Sialkot, apricots dried on rooftops in Hunza, and trucks painted like travelling shrines. Most people outside Pakistan have never heard of them.
The few that do reach international shops usually arrive with no story attached. A shawl becomes a “boho print”. A spice mix becomes “Indian masala”. The people and places behind them disappear.
Pakistanee exists to fix that. We tell each story properly, with the history, the making, and how Pakistanis actually live with the thing, and then point you to a seller who ships abroad and sells the genuine article.
What we do
A guide, not a shop.
We tell the story
Every product gets a full page: what it is, where it comes from, how it is made, how to spot a copy, and how to say its name.
We choose the seller
We only link to sellers who already ship internationally, show clear prices, and sell the real thing.
You buy directly
You pay the seller on their own site or platform. We never take your money or hold your parcel.
We say how we earn
Some links earn us a small commission. Every one is labelled. Many are not, and they are labelled too.

The road so far
Pakistanee currently covers 28 things from 14 towns across five regions, from Karachi on the Arabian Sea to Hunza under the Karakoram, along with a growing collection of truck poetry.
We add new stories as we find them and as makers write to us. If you know something that belongs here, tell us.
